Te Rā o Te Raukura 2025 marked a major milestone for event waste minimisation in the Hutt Valley, becoming the region’s first large-scale reuse event. Supported by Hutt City Council, this kaupapa embraced sustainability by reducing single-use serviceware and replacing it with almost 1,500 reusable items - keeping unnecessary waste out of landfill while delivering a seamless experience for event goers.

FillGood was proud to provide reusable cups and serviceware to 9 vendors, along with the team at Nonstop Solutions on the ground, ensuring attendees could enjoy their kai and wai waste-free. The response was overwhelmingly positive with vendors and attendees embracing the ease and impact of reusables.

• Outstanding Return Rate: 90% of items were successfully returned - a great result for the first time operating reuse in the Hutt Valley!
